Micropol is a family company, founded at the end of the 1980’s. The company is located in Åled, about 10 km north of Halmstad, in the beautiful valley of the river Nissan. Micropol is one of most experienced companies in the market, with products recognised for their high quality and solid craftsmanship, made to last a lifetime. Our philosophy has always been to be the most advantageous and updated fibreoptics company for our customers. Amongst our customers you can find leading telecom operators, OEM companies and wholesalers. Our products can be found within a whole range of technologies, everything from complex fibreoptic networks for telecom and data communication, to advanced sensor systems for medical, industrial and military applications. As one of our customers, you can expect rapid service and short lead times. In our branch, time is always too short.

You name it – we make it

Our speciality is the production of solutions for passive fibreoptic networks. Regardless of the application, we have the knowledge and the capacity to manufacture the product – either according to the customer’s specification or as a specially tailored solution. Our products fulfil the demands of IEC or Telcordia, depending on the requirements of the customer. All of our products are manufactured by ourselves in our own premises. As a manufacturer, we lead the field with several of our products and network construction methods. As an example, we were amongst the first in Sweden to introduce pre-fabricated ODF boxes. Today, these are standard for all types of fibreoptic network installation.

Measuring is knowing

All systems that we manufacture are measured and verified to one hundred percent in our own factory. The width and depth of our knowledge, combined with the most modern instrumentation in Scandinavia, ensures that our own internal controls are unique and guarantee the highest quality. We even have the competence to perform verification of installations performed by others.

Development of our own personnel

Micropol has a workforce of around 20 persons. They are our most important asset and we invest a great deal in development and internal training. To work here, you need a number of special personal qualities, such as a high degree of bodily accuracy and the ability to get involved in the most extreme of fine mechanics applications. It’s not just anybody who can handle a product made completely of glass and no larger than a strand of hair.

R&D

Research and development are performed in our own laboratories, where we develop our own future products and also perform commissions for our customers. Our competence covers more than just fibreoptics – no matter which area of technology you work in, you can always rely on Micropol for your unique fibreoptic solution. We perform rigorous testing and never deliver a product before we are sure that it functions correctly.
